"I was looking for a place to relax, unwind, and have a peaceful break from everyday life. G's place was all of that and more. The house was immaculate, the amenities were just what I was looking for and more. The beach is just a short walk away, perfect for getting my steps in. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute here, so much that I booked another stay before I left! Of all the places I've stayed in Oak Island, this is by far my favorite. I can't wait to come back. 10/10 would recommend. G was the most perfect host. Very fast responses, attentive, super friendly and accommodating, and going above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. You won't find a better host, guaranteed."
"This was the perfect house for our stay. All 4 couples greatly appreciated having our own bathrooms and private space. The patios were a lovely spot for coffee in the morning. It was a little chilly and windy on the beach during our stay so the hot tub was a nice retreat. Would definitely recommend this home, especially to couples traveling together."
"My second stay here was just as good as the first! I brought along my family this time, and they also loved staying here. Everything was sparkling clean when we arrived. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We all thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We enjoyed spending our Easter here. We felt right at home. It's so peaceful and comfortable here. G was very responsive, and friendly. He is a wonderful host."
"We had an amazing spring break at the Salty Oak! The house is beautifully decorated and brand new so it felt very high end! The owners truly thought of everything you need. It was very convenient having a lot of the beach items supplied at the house like chairs and a wagon. We loved the quiet street and easy, quick walk to the beach! The house is conveniently located close to grocery stores and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living features like the screened in porch and heated pool/hot tub. We were very thankful to have the hot tub since the weather was chilly. The kitchen was also well equipped. We cooked most of our meals at home and had everything that we needed. The bedrooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were very luxurious! Galen was a wonderful host! We can't wait to come back!"
"This was hands down one of the best stays my family and I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up for a relaxing getaway. The host, G, truly went above and beyond. Communication was smooth from start to finish, and the detailed guidebook made everything effortless. You can tell a lot of thought was put into making sure guests have a great experience. The home itself was perfect for our family. We spent a lot of time enjoying the pool and hot tubs, which were a huge highlight. And the location? It doesn't get much better… the beach is literally just steps away, making it easy to go back and forth throughout the day. We also loved exploring the area. Local spots like Shebby's Pizza were fantastic, and having shops like Evita's nearby for beachwear and essentials was super convenient. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations in every way."
